Hair Loss Tips
Hair loss affects millions of both men and women. While there is a tendency to pin hair loss strictly on men, hair loss definitely affects both sexes.
And it is important to understand why you are experiencing hair loss. Is it genetic, before inherited from your family tree? Or is it a medical condition?
Do see a doctor to determine the cause of your hair loss. There may be medical issues at play. Either serious or temporary.
That said, there are plenty of things you can try to reduce or totally eliminate hair loss, including products like Keraviatin which does a great job.
Things to try.
- #1. Regularly shampoo your hair with mild shampoo.
Be sure your shampoo is mild, and avoid most of the cheap brands. That being said, shampooing regularly keeps both dandruff and infections away, both of which can weaken hair and cause more than your share of hair loss.
Besides preventing dandruff and infections, shampooing your hair gives your hair more volume.
(Note that the average person loses around 100 hairs a day, so some hair loss is completely normal.) - #2. Eat your veggies and get sufficient protein
Most people have a poor diet, and eating a diet loaded with vegetables is a way to keep your hair loss to a minimum. As getting a diet sufficient in protein.
Hair is mostly protein, so do be careful if you are a vegetarian. And vitamins contain vital nutrients to keep hair strong.
You might consider a vitamin supplement and we’re not talking here about some expensive super vitamins. A simple kids gummi will do. - Massage your hair and scalp with essential oils.
A daily massage of even a few minutes on your hair, and in particular your scalp will do wonders for your hair loss count. - Avoid brushing your hair wet or combing it wet.
When your hair is wet it is at its weakest. By all means, brush your hair if it needs it, but do so only when your hair is dry. The same goes for combing. Use a wide-tooth comb to comb your hair when it is wet, and be very gentle about it. - Consider a routine of garlic, ginger, or onion juice on your hair and scalp overnight.
We don’t know exactly why this works, but once a week, try one of these juice rubs on your hair and leave it overnight. (cover your hair with a cloth cap to avoid your pillows reaking to high heaven.) This is a once-a-week routine.
You may not enjoy the smell, but your hair will love you for it. Then simply shampoo in the morning. - Keep hydradated
Most people don’t drink enough water, and water is good for everything including your hair. - Don’t towel your hair dry.
Gently comb your hair with a wide-tooth comb after you shower and then let your hair air dry. (avoid using a blow dryer, which may weaken hair.)
Towel drying your hair is rough on the follicles. - Reduce alcohol and avoid smoking
Smoking, in particular, is bad for your health, and drinking too much alcohol can also be bad not only for your overall health but your hair. - Get plenty of physical activity and destress
Exercise reduces stress as do activities like yoga or tai chi. The less stress you are under in your life, the better for your hair. - What your hairstyle
If you are losing a lot of hair, it could be due to your hairstyle putting undue pressure on your follicles. Ponytails and other styles that pull against your hair should be avoided at all costs. - Ditch the hair blower
Heating your hair with hairdryers reduces the overall strength of your hair and you have a much higher chance of losing your hair. - Don’t color your hair
The harsh chemicals in hair coloring go a long way to weaken your hair. Avoid it. - Keep an eye out for your medications
Certain necessary medications may have a side effect of losing your hair. If you notice an acceleration in lost hair, consult your doctor to see if there is an alternative medication you can try. - For men only… consider shaving your head.
In case you haven’t noticed, a great many men nowadays simply shave their heads clean.
It’s fashionable, and you don’t need to worry about hair loss. - Consider rogaine
